Early in each engagement, we work with leaders to lay out a draft change roadmap that describes how the work progresses from leadership alignment to system-wide engagement, to implementation and sustaining momentum.

Below is an example of what a change roadmap might look like. Every step is planned to widen the circle of involvement.  The exact design of the roadmap and the timetable will depend on the scope and purpose of the engagement.  In this model, large group meetings are used to bring the system together to accelerate shared understanding, give everyone a voice, and gain commitment.  In between, smaller groups and teams do the work of making change happen.  At every major step, we assemble a small representative group of participants to help plan the meeting.
