Mission/Vision/Values
Why are we here as an organization? What is our fundamental reason for being as an organization? What is the work we do every day? How do we compete? What is our preferred future? What are our values and guiding principles?

Strategic Goals or Priorities
Where should we focus our energies now? What are the vital few critical thrusts over the next 3-5 years? Not necessarily Measurable Not necessarily Achievable Usually not more than Five Goals

Strategic Initiatives or Objectives
What are the Measurables of Success? Achievable Results - Deliverables Measurable Outcomes Specific Time Frame (usually 1 year)

Action Plans
How will we get the work done? What tasks need to be accomplished? Who is Responsible? What Resources will we need? By When?

Deployment or Implementation
DO IT! Put the strategy into action Things never go as planned, so we adjust as we go.

Evaluate and Plan New Actions
What did we say we would do? What did we actually do? What results did we get? What have we learned? Are we creating the value our stakeholders want? What do we want to do now?
